We Don’t Have Much Time

You can’t push rewind on life.

You can’t go back in time and make different choices.

You can’t get time with loved ones back.

You can’t undo your mistakes.

You can’t relive your favorite day.

Your child will only be this age once.

High school is short.

College is short.

Jobs end.

People move.

Unexpected things happen.

Your life is fleeting.

Your family’s lives are fleeting.

Remember what’s important. Spend time with people. Put your phone down. That thing can wait until you play a game with your kids. Have a date night. Do what you’ve always wanted to do, while you still have time. Take pictures. Send a text to your friend that you haven’t talked to in a while. Let go of grudges. Visit your grandparents. Start good habits now and let go of unhealthy ones. Most importantly, give your life to God before it’s too late. Let Him save you now so that you know where you’re going when your life ends (you never know when that will be). Jesus died on the cross so that you could be forgiven of those mistakes that you can’t take back. He sacrificed himself so that you could go to Heaven when your time runs out. Give God the control so that you don’t have to waste your short time on Earth worrying. Live a life that glorifies God while you still have time.

*Note to self: Listen to your own advice. Cherish life while it’s in front of you.
