When trying to conceive, you should definitely be praying that God’s will be done and that you will have a child in His timing. However, even while praying, it can become frustrating and worrisome each time that you are not pregnant. It requires a lot of patience and faith. These are some verses that I prayed over while trying to get pregnant and verses that provided comfort in my waiting. I hope they are helpful to you!
If you abide in me, and my words abide in you, ask whatever you wish, and it will be done for you.
And Isaac prayed to the Lord for his wife, because she was barren. And the Lord granted his prayer, and Rebekah his wife conceived.
1 Samuel 1:19-20
…and the Lord remembered her. And in due time, Hannah conceived and bore a son, and she called his name Samuel, for she said, I have asked him from the Lord.
He gives the childless woman a family, making her a happy mother. Praise the Lord!
Behold children are a heritage from the Lord, the fruit of the womb a reward. Like arrows in the hand of a warrior are the children of one’s youth. Blessed is the man who fills his quiver with them! He shall not be put to shame when he speaks with his enemies in the gate.
…And God said to them, “Be fruitful and multiply…”
Train up a child in the way he should go; even when he is old he will not depart from it.

When a woman is giving birth, she has sorrow because her hour has come, but when she has delivered the baby, she no longer remembers the anguish, for joy that a human being has been born into the world.
