The Criminal on the Cross

Since it’s almost Easter, I was reading through the story of Jesus’s death. I read about the criminals on the cross next to Jesus and one of the criminal’s words made salvation sound so clear and simple. Mark 40-43 says, ” But the other criminal protested, ‘Don’t you fear God even when you have been sentenced to die? We deserve to die for our crimes, but this man hasn’t done anything wrong.’ And Jesus replied, ‘I assure you, today you will be with me in Paradise.'” Continue reading

Why suffering does not mean there is no God

This was originally a Facebook post that I felt God was asking me to write after a boy I went to school with passed away much too young. I was reading about numerous other heartbreaking situations going on in my hometown at the same time.

A few weeks later, (after the post) another boy from the same class passed away.
